What is Inline Hockey?

Inline Hockey...it's fast, fun and affordable!

Inline hockey is one of the fastest growing sports in Canada, and it is played year round in many parts of North America.
Inline hockey is a non-contact game with the focus being on skating, skill and puck handling.
Games consist of two, 22 minute (running time) halves with four skaters and a goaltender on the floor for each team.
Teams usually consist of only 8-12 players, so players get plenty of floor time.
There are no off-sides or icings so it's just fast and fun hockey!

What If I Have Never Played Inline Hockey Before?

The reason inline hockey is one of the fastest growing sport in Canada is because each year more boys and girls are joining inline hockey leagues and discovering the excitement of the game. It's a sport where the Team aspect of the game is emphasized. It's about having fun, no experience necessary!

You Will Need The Following Equipment To Play:
Roller blades (No Brakes though, they could damage the surface!)
Hockey stick
Shin pads
Elbow pads
CSA approved hockey helmet
Protective Cup
Pants (either hockey or inline)
Hockey gloves
Shoulder pads are not required, but are HIGHLY recommended for younger players!

A team jersey will be provided by the MJIHL once the teams are selected.

Are There Other Opportunities for Elite Players?

For those players in the Moose Jaw Inline Hockey League that would like to take their game to the next level, the Moose Jaw Breakers may invite you to come play. Every year the Breakers teams are selected and the players in U10, U12, U14 and U16 age levels have the opportunity to participate in several high-calibre inline hockey tournaments across Western Canada.
